Strayer University Online

Strayer University Online is a branch of Strayer University which has been educating students since 1892. This university realized that working adults who wished to continue their education often found the limitations of campus schedules to be cumbersome. Now, through Strayer University Online, students are able to pursue their degree with added flexibility.

There are a number of online degrees that students at Strayer University Online can work towards. These include Associate’s, Master’s, and Bachelor’s degree programs along with a variety of certification options. Fields of study include business, education, technology, and criminal justice.

Students will be able to take advantage of two distinct styles of online education at Strayer University Online. The first form, called synchronous, allows students to participate in classes which are conducted in a live format. Using special software and a microphone, students can interact with classmates and the professor during each of the classes.

The other option for students is called asynchronous. Students enrolled in this type of class will enjoy greater flexibility as the online courses are not conducted live. They are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This means students can access them whenever it is convenient for them.

Both forms of online education at Strayer include what is called the caf, where students and faculty can post messages to each other using a message board. All students will also be able to take advantage of online tutoring as well.

Strayer University Online is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission through the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
